바위 틈으로 길을 만들어가는 개미의 모습을 표현하고자 했다. '그림 속의 개미가 된다는 생각으로 그림을 그려라.'라는 교수님의 말씀에서 '바위틈으로 길을 만들어가는 개미의 모습'이 떠올랐다. 즉각적인 자극들로 이뤄진 길이 아닌, 서서히 인식하는 거리를 만들고 싶었다. "건축적 산책"은 공간을 움직이며 시간이 지남에 따라 차례로 얻어지는 경험의 축적이다. 이번 프로젝트를 통해 "건축적 산책"을 할 수 있는 골목길을 만들고자 했다. 수많은 동선이 만들어내는 경우의 수가 중첩되는 부분에서는 사람들 간의 수많은 상호작용이 발생한다. 이 지점을 void로 표현하여 그들의 상호작용으로 빈 허공이 채워질 수 있도록 표현했다.
I wanted to express the image of an ant carving its way through the cracks of a rock. Inspired by my professor’s words, “Draw with the mindset that you are the ant within the picture,” the image of an ant making its way through rocky crevices came to mind. I aimed not to create a path formed by immediate stimuli, but rather a distance that is gradually perceived. An “architectural promenade” is the accumulation of experiences gained in sequence as one moves through space over time. Through this project, I sought to design an alley that allows for such an architectural promenade. Where countless paths overlap, countless interactions between people occur. I expressed this point as a void, so that the empty space could be filled through their interactions.
